The Victorian Environmental Water Holder (VEWH) is an independent statutory body responsible for holding and managing Victoria’s environmental water entitlements.
VEWH wanted a video summary of their annual report with a particular emphasis on their environmental watering work to protect waterbirds that migrate to Australia, in the context of climate change.
We reimagined this story as best communicated by an Australian waterbird expert with extensive field work experience, alongside comments from the Executive Officer of VEWH. Reimagine Films sourced all the non-interview footage and photos through associated Victorian water authorities.
This short film production bolstered recognition of VEWH’s regional partnerships with Catchment Management Authorities and increased community appreciation for why environmental water flows are needed.
VEWH re-commissioned Reimagine Films the following year.
“Steve was very easy to work with and incredibly thorough. When the project changed direction after the initial brief, he adapted quickly to ensure his final output would meet our expectations and his own high standards of production.
He crafted a script that completely encapsulated the messages we wanted and sourced a wide range of images to help tell the story. The result was a richer, more meaningful video that in fact exceeded our expectations.”
