Advances in digital camera technology have made possible the gathering of detailed underwater imagery. The Oceans and Atmosphere’s Engineering & Technology Program at CSIRO has the design and manufacturing capacity to integrate this technology within a custom built platform for the scientific study of the deep subsea environment.
The Oceans and Atmosphere’s Engineering & Technology Program wanted to promote their rare capacity for complete solutions for scientists wanting scientific data in a variety of extreme and challenging conditions.
We worked with senior management to identify a single product that could demonstrate this capacity through interview comments from a cross section of the CSIRO engineers and technicians involved in the project. Our film production process was focused on capturing their comments in an unpressured and enjoyable way.
“The prospect of working with a film producer to highlight our technical work was daunting however Steve had the skills and patience to direct a diverse cast whilst maintaining focus on the impact of our technology. The result is a strong and compelling narrative pitched perfectly for a broad audience.”
